Bailamos.
No sé. No me dan ganas de verlo de nuevo.
...
The photographer sent me flowers. I got home from work and they were there, waiting for me. They are orange gerberas, which is like a smaller, happier sunflower. I liked that he didn't pick something as corny and unoriginal as roses. I liked the gesture. How considerate. How romantic. And I barely know him. I had said that his punk-rock appearance was misleading.
But I can't deny that I was a little creeped out. Flowers? After two dates? The thing is, I don't like him that much. Maybe he's getting the wrong idea.
I hadn't written about our second date. We went to dinner at a Greek restaurant where you can break plates and everything. As soon as we sat, people were at the center of the place breaking their dishes so we grabbed ours, smashed them on the floor and yelled opa!! It's a very nice feeling. Kind of satisfies my fantasy of breaking dishes and glasses whenever I go to a home store. Every time I walk down those isles I imagine I stretch out an arm and destroy everything in my way, leaving shattered porcelain and crystal behind me. I know, I should get that checked out.
The funny thing was when we got back to our table a waitress came up and handed us new dishes and said, here, these are for you to break... we had just destroyed the ones that were for eating.
After that we went to a party at his friend's house in San Telmo or around that area. First we went by his apartment to get something and he asked if I wanted to come up. I said joking that I'd wait for him in the cab; I knew that tactic well. He was kind of offended.
It was in one of those old buildings with elevators that have a fence in front of the door and close manually. The crowd was very alternative, with more photographers, actors, and the type. We danced. He was euphoric, jumping and singing. I was happy and let him kiss me. I liked it but not too much.
And he's been sending these texts that kind of turn me off, like "kisses wherever you want," etcetera. I don't know. I don't feel like seeing him again.
